Differences between early age language learners (5-12 years) and other ages (in terms of learning language structures and subskills) and misconceptions about early language learners; learning styles of early language learners (visual, audio and affective) and strategies (e.g. metacognitive, cognitive, socioaffective); developing activities for teaching vocabulary, language skills, language structure (e.g. jigsaw puzzles, stories, games, and simulations), audio-visual tools (e.g. pictures, realia, cartoons, puppets, and songs); choosing, ordering, material adaptation and evaluation of teaching points appropriate to language levels and cognitive, affective development of language learners. |
