String Instruments Main Art Branch provides training as art branches (Violin-Viola-Cello-Double Bass) within the Music Department. This branch, which started its basic education as Music and Ballet Primary School in 1989, is structured to provide eight-year pre-bachelor music education as Music and Ballet Secondary School and Music and Performing Arts High School. In addition to the instrument training courses starting from the fifth grade of secondary education, it is carried out within the framework of a program with various vocational courses in the fields of correpetition, chamber music, and orchestra.

Acting with the mission of raising students who are sensitive, experienced and equipped with scientific knowledge in the field of polyphonic music, who can take part in the international art arena, the Department organizes concerts and recitals, since stage performance is the main element of education, and expert trainers/artists from Türkiye and abroad. invites and organizes various events.

After a four-year undergraduate education, the String Instruments Department, which is a branch of art that is carried out together with the Fine Arts Institute of our university, and where proficiency in art is given, provides training with contemporary methods and techniques for all sub-disciplines of string instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass). It trains national and international soloists, orchestra and chamber music artists and academician candidates for educational institutions.
