Life in Turkey is more affordable than many other western countries. In terms of living expenses, Eskişehir is even more affordable than many other major cities in Turkey. Unfortunately, Anadolu University does not offer accommodation in the university facilities for incoming exchange students; however, it makes all the necessary accommodation arrangements for shared accommodation with Turkish students. Sharing a furnished flat with a Turkish student costs between 100 to 200 euros per month, including the rent, bills (electricity, water, and heating), and sometimes the Internet.

Transportation is also reasonably priced for students. A discount ticket for students costs about 60 euro cents for public transportation in the city. It is possible to reach İstanbul or Ankara from Eskişehir by train for about 7-10 euros.

Anadolu University Student Lunch Hall offers lunch and dinner on weekdays for only 4 Euros per week. Generally, 350 euros per month is more than enough for a student for all the basic living expenses (food, accommodation and transportation, etc.).
