Department of Foreign Language Education offers PhD programs in German, French and English Language Teaching. Four professors and four assistant professors work in the doctorate programme in German Language Teaching and three professors, one associate professor and three assistant professors in French Language Teaching. PhD Program English Language Teaching started in the academic year of 1992-1993. Faculty members include six professors, three associate professors, and six assistant professors. Various mandatory and elective courses are offered within the fields of foreign language teaching, first language acquisition, second and foreign language learning, linguistics, language technology. The Department aims at providing students with a solid theoretical background, critical thinking skills as well as capacity to carry out independent research.
