Graduate School | Department of Distance Education

The Department of Distance Education, established in 1993 within the Faculty of Open Education, offered one Doctoral Program, one Thesis-based Master’s Program, and two Non-thesis (Online) Master’s Programs. In 2025, as part of the faculty’s restructuring process, it was renamed the Department of Open and Distance Learning, and these four programs began to be carried out under this new department. The mission of the department is to cultivate individuals who, drawing on the experience of Anadolu University’s Open Education System, possess knowledge and skills in open and distance learning as well as in assessment and data analytics, and who are capable of conducting research and developing practical applications in these fields.
