The main functions of the Department of Educational Sciences are to offer graduate programs in different sub-branches of educational sciences, to do research in various fields of education, and to conduct national and international projects. In the Department of Educational Sciences, there are three programs: Curriculum and Instruction, Psychological Counseling and Guidance, and Educational Management, Inspection, Planning, and Economic, which offer both masters and doctoral degrees. The department also provides a Non-Thesis program in the Educational Management, Inspection, Planning and Economy master’s program, which aims to train and improve school administrators and educational inspectors. Those who accomplish the fulfillment of the master’s program in the Department of Educational Sciences are given the title of ‘Master of Arts.’ Those who successfully fulfill the doctoral programs' requirements are given the title of Doctor of Education. Currently, there are currently 12 full-time professors, eight associate professors, and 13 assistant professors in the Department.
