Week - 2 Applied Solfeggio and Dictation of 7th Chords • Analysis of 7th chords (functional use) • Harmonic dictation studies • Structure of 9/8 and 11/8 measures, sample rhythmic reading studies • Analysis of complex melodic structures
Week - 3 Diminished and Augmented Chords • Structure of Dim and Aug chords, their functions in scales • Examples of modulation and temporary intonation • Rhythmic dictation: Syncopated structures and rhythmic displacements
Week - 4 Polyrhythmic Studies I • Introduction to basic polyrhythmic structures such as 3:2, 4:3 • Practical rhythmic exercises (hand clapping, vocal repetition) • Solfeggio studies: Melodies with different tonal transitions

Week - 6 Polyrhythmic Studies II and Mixed Measures • Polyrhythmic structure in 5/8, 7/8 and 11/8 • Rhythm analysis and dictation applications • Solfeggio applications in free-measure melodies
Week - 7 Musical Form Analysis I – Simple Forms • Analysis of structures such as binary, ternary, rondo • Examples of motivic development in simple form structures • Rhythmic analysis: Effect of irregular rhythms on form
Week - 8 Midterm Exam and Evaluation • Written and practical exam • Solfeggio: 2-part complex melody • Dictation: Rhythm + Harmonic + Melodic compound dictation
Week - 9 Musical Form Analysis II – Advanced Forms • Sonata form, theme and variation, fugue structures • Advanced harmonic analysis (modulation, extension, ornamentation) • Score reading: Choir or small orchestra examples
Week - 10 Advanced Chord Progression Analysis II • Quartal harmony, chromatic chord chains • Analysis with popular music and jazz examples • Dictation studies: Atonal/free tonal examples
Week - 11 Mixed Solfeggio and Tonality Analysis • Vocalization of melodies with different tonal centers • Complex modes (Lydian dominant, Lokrian #6 etc.) • Correct reading techniques in modulated melodies
Week - 12 Musical Character and Style Analysis • Examples from Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary Periods • Melodic character analysis, expression and dynamic use • Score analysis studies
Week - 13 Applied Group Studies • Practice from choir or small ensemble scores • Dictation studies with polyphonic structures • Pre-stage rehearsal simulations of complex structures
