  • 1. Explain what field music collection is and its importance in ethnomusicological research.
  • 2. Define the preparation processes for field research (creating research questions, literature review, field selection).
  • 3. Evaluate the ethical principles and cultural sensitivity requirements to be followed in field research.
  • 4. Compare different qualitative research methods (observation, interview, focus group, etc.) in the context of music research.
  • 5. Recognize the equipment required for music recording and apply basic recording techniques.
  • 6. Explain the principles of editing and archiving the resulting audio and video recordings.
