This course examines economic growth and development theories to explain differences in prosperity and development levels across countries. Throughout the course, classical and modern growth theories, the role of institutions and geography in development, indicators of poverty and inequality, and development policies are explored. In addition to theory and policy, contemporary development issues such as sustainable development, migration, and environmental challenges are also discussed. |
