The course examines security and privacy across the data lifecycle in depth: introduction to data and data security (concepts, scope); data threats (actors, attack surface); core privacy concepts (personal data, anonymity); legal and regulatory frameworks (principles, obligations); fundamentals of data security (CIA, IAM); data protection methods (classification, backup); data security technologies (controls, monitoring); encryption techniques; masking techniques; privacy-enhancing technologies; risk forecasting and management; risk mitigation strategies; big data privacy; advanced legal frameworks; social impacts of privacy breaches. |
