This course concisely teaches interactive storytelling in games: theme–structure–pacing, character and dialogue design, world/atmosphere building. Turning points and branching story paths are modeled based on player decisions; consistency is ensured through state machines/flowcharts. Variable/condition-based constructs are applied for dynamic narrative and balancing. The term concludes with a playable story prototype that has been tested and revised. |
