Work Placement Practical work is conducted in the Faculty of Fine Arts demonstration room and project studio. Students prepare two finished main works for the midterm and two for the final; each has at least one dimension of 100 cm or more, and one final work is a spatial installation. Research and experiments, a 15–20-slide/10-minute presentation and instructor approval precede production for each work. Material sources, installation/deinstallation and recycling plans are documented.
Aims of the Course The course aims to enable students to develop original three-dimensional works and installations through research into waste and found objects, repurposed products, synthetic and natural materials, and the expressive potential of paint, relating concepts, materials and space. Research, experimentation, sketches and models, presentation and approval, production and exhibition develop technical competence, structural understanding, critical thinking and process documentation; material provenance and reuse are considered integral to the work.
