| Aims of the Course |
The objective of this course is to ensure that the student gains a profound understanding of the historical development, institutional structure, enlargement policies, and single market dynamics of the European Union (EU). Within the scope of the course, the historical background of Turkey-EU relations, the Association Agreement (Ankara Agreement), the Customs Union process, full membership negotiations, and current relations are examined through their political, legal, and economic dimensions. Furthermore, it aims to provide the student with the competence to analytically and critically evaluate the structural reforms and harmonization policies implemented by Turkey during the EU integration process, as well as the effects of developments in global geopolitics on Turkey-EU relations. |
