The Associate Degree Program in Tourism and Travel Services aims to equip students with vocational skills. Students with a score of 140 and above in at least one of the fields tested in Higher Education Entrance Exam (YGS), organised by the Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM), can be admitted to the Associate Degree Program in Tourism and Travel Services. Students enrolled in two- or four-year on-campus programs and graduates of any higher education program can also have a chance to receive a second university degree, on condition that the program they apply for is different from the one they graduated from or study in. For further information, visit http://www.anadolu.edu.tr/tr/sinavsiz-ikinci-universite.

Admission to the programme is based on the relevant higher education legislation and the central placement procedures administered by the Centre for Assessment, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM). Candidates who are offered a place in the programme must complete their registration within the deadlines announced in the University's academic calendar and registration announcements, in accordance with the applicable legislation. To complete final registration, candidates must satisfy all general and programme-specific admission requirements. Admission through horizontal transfer is conducted in accordance with the relevant legislation and the principles established by the relevant academic unit. The application and admission procedures for international students are carried out in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Recognition of prior learning is carried out in accordance with the relevant higher education legislation, the University's regulations governing education, examinations and assessment, and the institutional principles for exemption and credit transfer. Students may apply, within the specified deadlines, for exemption and credit transfer based on courses successfully completed at another higher education institution or on equivalent prior learning. Applications are evaluated by the relevant board or commission with due consideration of course content, credit/ECTS values, grades obtained, and their compatibility with the curriculum and learning outcomes of the relevant programme.
The students who have taken courses in other institutions whether in Turkey or abroad can ask for credit and grade transfer. Depending on the degrees awarded, theoretical or practical courses taken as part of a degree (completed or not completed) may lead to recognition of these as prior learning by the programme administration.

The programme is delivered in open and distance mode. Students are enrolled on the programme as students. Teaching and learning activities are conducted in accordance with the programme curriculum, including the semester structure, scheduled class hours, practical components, and, where applicable, online learning environments.

Examinations and course passing are governed by the Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Regulations on Education and Examinations, the Implementation Principles for Education and Examinations in the Open Education, Faculty, and the Principles of the Student Evaluation System in the Open Education Faculty.

A student is required to successfully complete the designated program of courses meet a minimum of 120 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00 and no FF, DZ or YZ grades. This program requires 45 days of practical training.\n

To be awarded an Associate Degree, students must successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses specified in the curriculum of the programme in which they are enrolled, together with any required internship, practical training, project, or other academic requirements. To qualify for graduation, students must successfully complete at least 120 ECTS credits, have no failed courses, achieve the minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) specified in the relevant regulations (at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale), and fulfil all other graduation requirements prescribed by the programme.
Turizm ve Seyahat Hizmetleri Önlisans Programında kayıtlı öğrencilerin staj yapmaları zorunludur. Bütün derslerini veren ancak staj yapmayan öğrenciler mezun olamazlar. Turizm ve Seyahat Hizmetleri Ön lisans programı 2. yarıyıla kayıt yaptıran öğrenciler, staj başvurusunda bulunabilir.Turizm ve Seyahat Hizmetleri Önlisans Programına kayıtlı öğrencilerin zorunlu staj süreleri 45 işgünü’dür. Öğrenciler stajlarını tek seferde yapmalıdırlar, bölerek farklı zaman dilimlerinde yapamazlar.

Students who successfully fulfil all programme requirements are awarded an Associate Degree Diploma in Tourism and Travel Services Graduates obtain a Level 5 (Associate Degree) qualification within the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF).

Graduates will be employed in the departments of tour design and operation, tour selling and ticketing and marketing and ticketing (if they get the certificate of ticketing) in travel agencies and tour operators. They can also be employed in sales and marketing departments of hospitality enterprises, which regulate the relations with the travel enterprises.

Graduates of Associate Degree programmes may apply for admission to Bachelor's Degree programmes through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS), in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the Continuation of Bachelor's Education for Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programmes and the relevant higher education legislation.
