Applied Behavior Analyis (ABA) Department was opened 2011. It is the first program in its kind in Turkey. ABA is the science in which socially important behaviors in natural settings are examined by the principles of operant conditioning. ABA observations are conducted to understand the conditions which elicit behaviors and how learning occurs. A functional relationship between causes and consequences of a behavior is searched. A master program entitled as “Applied Behavior Analysis in Autism” is run by the department. This master program is also the first and the only program in Turkey.
