General Information

The Department of Pharmacognosy examines the raw material of drugs from natural sources. The department researches on obtaining raw materials from natural sources, the analysis and research techniques of plant chemistry, folcloric use of medical plants, herbal sources used in phytotherapy and other supplementary theraphies. After pharmacy degree, there are post graduate programs which offer MA and PhD degrees after finishing at least 2 and 4 years of education.
