Graduate School | Department of Painting

Established in the 1991-1992 academic year, the Painting Department is located on Anadolu University’s Yunus Emre Campus. The department offers a master’s programme with a thesis and a Proficiency in Art programme. Students undertake theoretical and practical work in painting and drawing studios, as well as stained glass and mural painting and techniques studios.

Graduate education aims to develop students’ artistic research, critical thinking and original production skills. Theoretical studies and studio practice are supported by seminars, exhibitions, conferences and artistic critique.

Students develop their individual artistic approaches by participating in the studio and research activities specified in their course plans, integrating research, production, presentation and documentation. Participation in artistic events and competitions in Türkiye and abroad is encouraged.
