This is an introductory course in which core concepts of sociological thinking and various classical, as well as some contemporary, perspectives of sociology is broadly discussed. The course is designed to equip students with sociological knowledge of various introductory themes of the discipline of sociology from how to develop a sociological perspective to social theory, social research methods, stratification and social class, gender and inequalities, social structure of society, social determinants of health and public welfare. |
