This course provides a general introduction to virtualization technologies. Students learn about popular virtualization software such as VMware, Microsoft, and Oracle VirtualBox. The fundamentals of virtualization, the concept of virtual machines, and desktop, server, and storage virtualization are explored. Practical virtualization examples are also performed using the Java Virtual Machine and VirtualBox on VMware Workstation. The course emphasizes the role of virtualization in security and IT infrastructure. |
