# Field Qualifications
1 Knowledge 1. Follows basic, current, theoretical and applied scientific knowledge in the field of Speech-Language Therapy.
2 Knowledge 2. Shows that they have theoretical and applied knowledge about the biomedical (anatomical, neurological, physiological, etc.), linguistic, psychological/behavioral and developmental foundations of human communication, language, speech, voice, hearing, nutrition and swallowing processes.
3 Knowledge 3. Knows the technology, tools and equipment required for the assessment and practice specific to the field of Speech and Language Therapy.
4 Knowledge 4. Uses accurate, reliable, valid and evidence-based information in the field of Speech-Language Therapy.
5 Knowledge 5. Knows the disorders coded and defined in classifications such as ICD and ICF, DSM 5, which are current and valid in the field of Speech and Language Therapy.
6 Knowledge 6. Knows how to plan, develop and implement programs for prevention, functional evaluation, differential diagnosis, intervention, therapy, re/habilitation studies by using the theoretical and applied concepts and principles required in the field of Speech and Language Therapy.
7 Ability 1. Takes responsibility and initiative in its field within a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary team and makes the necessary cooperation.
8 Ability 2. Exhibit a holistic approach based on bio-psycho-social and cultural aspects in speech and language therapy practices for the individual, family and society.
9 Ability 3. Collects evidence-based data, keeps records, interprets, reports results, prepares, implements and monitors the therapy plan/program by using the necessary technology, tools and equipment in the field of Speech-Language Therapy.
10 Ability 4. Performs evidence-based prevention, functional evaluation, differential diagnosis, intervention, therapy, re/habilitation practices by using the necessary technology, tools and equipment in the field of Speech and Language Therapy.
11 Competence- Competence to Work Independently and Take Responsibility 1. Organizes his/her studies effectively and adequately in the field of Speech and Language Therapy, ensures the continuity of the quality and organizational function and professional development.
12 Competence- Competence to Work Independently and Take Responsibility 2. Takes responsibility individually and/or as a team member by using up-to-date information in the field of speech and language therapy, analyzes and manages necessary business processes, and produces solutions in line with information and evidence against problems.
13 Competence -Competence to Work Independently and Take Responsibility 3. Communicates with patients/clients, families and other relevant stakeholders (teacher, physician, psychologist, employer, etc.) in accordance with their age, gender, socio-cultural level, language-speech disorder.
14 Competence- Learning Competence; Communication and Social Competence 1. Produces projects, conducts research and engages in various activities in order to raise public awareness and affect protective/preventive needs and health policies.
15 Competence-Learning Competence; Communication and Social Competence 2. By having knowledge about the traditions, languages and cultures of his own country and other countries, s/he evaluates individual, linguistic and cultural differences and conveys understandable and accurate information to the patient, healthcare personnel and society.
