Biotechnology is a field that has developed considerably in the last 20 years and has a very wide scope. In particular, the usage of this field for human health is increasing with a great acceleration in parallel with technological developments. The production of biological/biotechnological products produced with this technology in pharmaceutical forms is within the scope of the field of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. Organisms produce therapeutics based on molecules already present in their body. The purpose of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology is the process of producing these natural components of the body in sufficient quantities to be used therapeutically and making them usable as drugs. Production of Antibiotics and Vitamins by Fermentation, Recombinant DNA Technology, Recombinant Protein Production and Formulation, Recombinant Blood Products and Therapeutic Enzymes, Antibodies, Vaccines and Adjuvants, Nucleic acid and cell-based therapeutics, Adult stem cells (advanced therapy products) and Biosimilars products, and Pharmacopoeia Analysis and Quality Control of these products are included in the Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Master's program.
