This program equips students with the knowledge and skills required to be employed in the profession of photography and camera operation. The courses offered in the program are semester-based, and the period of study is two years. The students of faculties in the Distance Education System take two exams per semester. Students take mid-term and final exams in the province where their distance education bureau is located. There is a total of 33 courses taught in the 1st and 2nd years of the program.

Students can transfer from open and distance learning to other open and distance learning degree programs. In order to transfer from open and distance learning to on-campus education programs, a student’s grade point average (GPA) must be 3.20 or higher out of 4.00 or the central placement score in the year registered must be equal to or higher than that year’s base score of the diploma program of the university to be attended.

Within the scope of Second University, students of the Associate Degree Program in Photography and Camera Operation may apply to Faculty of Open Education, Economics and Business Administration within Distance Education System providing that the program for which they apply does not have quota limit and are different from the program they study or they graduated from.

According to the Vertical Transfer Guidebook, graduates of the Program in Photography and Camera Operation can transfer to the following departments after taking the vertical transfer exam (DGS) provided that students meet the requirements of the university to be attended:
