The Department of Political Science and Public Administration is hosted by the Faculty of Economics, which offers education within the framework of open and distance education system of Anadolu University. The department offers a four-year program at the undergraduate level. Students take one mid-term and one final exam in both fall and spring terms, which makes a total of four exams in one year. Students sit for exams in the city where their bureau is located.

The undergraduate program in Political Science and Public Administration aims to equip students with basic theoretical and practical knowledge related to law, politics and administration and with analytical skills of problem solving in the field of public administration.

The graduates have the opportunity to apply for Master’s and Doctoral degrees in the same or related fields. As for employment opportunities, the graduates can work as inspectors, supervisors, experts or officers in public corporations; or as administrators in private sector or non-governmental organizations.

The basic course materials for students are course books. The course books have been designed by field experts in view of distance education and autonomous learning principles. There are also TV programs and support materials which are accessible through the e-learning portal on the Internet.
