The Department of Traditional Turkish Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Anadolu University aims to educate qualified artists and designers by integrating the historical heritage, aesthetic principles, and artistic practices of Traditional Turkish Arts with contemporary approaches to art and design. The Department consists of the Art Major Branches of Calligraphy, Illumination Art- Miniature, and Çini, where students receive both theoretical instruction and studio-based practical education.

Throughout the program, students acquire knowledge and skills in the motifs, patterns, compositions, and techniques specific to Traditional Turkish Arts while developing original artistic designs through contemporary design approaches and digital technologies. The curriculum also provides fundamental knowledge on the preservation of cultural heritage and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration through exhibitions, workshops, and national and international artistic events, supporting students' professional and artistic development.

Graduates of the program may pursue careers in public institutions such as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Directorate of Foundations, museums, and art and design studios, as well as in various public and private sector organizations. They may also continue their academic studies or establish independent professional careers as artists and designers.
