Week - 3 The importance of visual expression and storytelling in digital media; digital video formats
Week - 4 Pre-production: Idea development, project planning, details of script writing, storyboard creation and necessary technical and artistic research before shooting.
Week - 5 Shooting Techniques and Scales: Psychological effects of shooting scales on the character and story, close-up, medium and long shot scales and their effects on the narrative.
Week - 6 Composition: Visual arrangement, use of color and the role of composition on the story, visual rhythm and tempo; Light: Lighting techniques, the role of light in creating atmosphere.
Week - 7 Sound Design and Microphones: The importance of sound, sound recording techniques, the functions of sound in on-stage and off-stage narration.
