Introduction to course
Aim: The course aims and starts with realizing the importance and necessity of the audiology for SLP experts and includes three major topics: 1. the physics of sound, 2. the anatomy, physiology of the auditory system and 3. Conventional procedures used to assess hearing. With this coverage SLP students will be able to learn basic concepts in acoustics that are necessary to understand hearing, the anatomy and physiology of the auditory and vestibular system, and capabilities of the auditory system that defines normal hearing in quantitative terms and how those capabilities are measured. The following program will be followed throughout the semester. |
