  • 1. Will be able to design an original scientific/artistic research topic. 1.1. Identifies a research topic related to one of the ceramic disciplines of interest. 1.2. Discusses the fundamental knowledge related to the identified topic. 1.3. Compiles the current literature related to the identified topic. 1.4. Organizes the compiled information. 1.5. Based on the compiled information, proposes an original research problem or hypothesis related to the identified topic. 2. Will be able to structure the methods necessary to conduct research related to the proposed hypothesis/research question. 2.1. Compiles scientific, artistic, and experimental methods previously employed in relation to the ceramic topic under investigation. 2.2. Examines the working principles of the materials and equipment to be used during the research. 2.3. Utilizes the materials and equipment for the research. 2.4. Organizes the methods and parameters to be applied during the research. 3. Will be able to analyze the data obtained as a result of research, applications, and experiments. 3.1. Organizes the raw data obtained as a result of research, applications, and experiments. 3.2. Examines appropriate methods for data analysis. 3.3. Employs analysis tools appropriate to the selected methods. 3.4. Conducts data analysis in accordance with the work protocol. 3.5. Distinguishes the significance of the analyzed data. 4. Will be able to evaluate the analyzed data in the context of the field of ceramics. 4.1. Interprets the results obtained from both artistic and scientific perspectives and establishes their relation to the field of ceramics. 4.2. Discusses the possible causes of the findings. 4.3. Examines whether the findings correspond to the initially proposed research question or hypothesis. 5. Will be able to report the findings obtained from scientific/artistic work in light of their own assessments. 5.1. Knows the principles of preparing a scientific/artistic report. 5.2. Prepares a text that includes the research hypothesis/objectives, methods, applications, findings, and evaluations. 5.3. Discusses the contribution of the conducted research and applications to the field of ceramics in the prepared report. 5.4. Proposes new research and application areas related to the subject based on the study and the obtained results.
