The process of migration is a complex and multi-dimensional issue that not only affects developed countries but also the future of developing countries. In the migration process, various institutions and factors interact besides the main actors such as politicians, public administrators, and immigrants. Political identities, policies formed by these identities, public institutions implementing these policies, and far-right parties play an active role in migration processes. Sometimes, ruling parties that come to power through elections tend to satisfy their voters with public policies while using migration as propaganda material. This course will examine the recent history, theories, and concepts of migration through the interaction of actors and the social, economic, cultural, and political dimensions of migration. Examining the relationship between migration, public policy, and politics with contemporary approaches is crucial for better understanding migrations, which are one of the major global problems of our time.
