  • To summarize the emergence of intellectual property rights and explain why these rights need protection, list the key elements of fundamental international agreements, and clarify the principle of territoriality in intellectual property rights.
  • To understand the concept of copyright and related rights, their historical development in Turkish law, the general process of authorship, and to acquire knowledge about international agreements on copyright as well as national and international legislation.
  • To acquire detailed knowledge about the scope and limitations of copyright, acts constituting infringement, and legal actions that can be initiated in case of infringement; to evaluate legal transactions such as transfer, licensing, pledge, seizure, and inheritance, along with their applicable procedures and consequences; and to explain the processes and consequences of the termination of rights.
