  • By the end of the course, students will be able to explain how the word component of language and how it works.
  • The student: defines morphology. 1.2. distinguishes morphology from other components of language. 2.3. identifies and defines words based on the criteria for word-hood.
  • By the end of the course, students will be able to determine the difference between word level underlying and surface representations of language.
  • The student: 2.1. defines the lexicon with Turkish and English examples. 2.2. defines lexemes with Turkish and English examples. 2.3. defines word-forms with Turkish and English examples.
