The aim of this course is to ground art beyond the boundaries of aesthetics as a cultural practice. Another aim is to question the emergence and development of art in the history of thought from a conceptual perspective. The discourses and practices related to art directly or indirectly are examined within the conceptual line that has changed from Ancient Greece to the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and in the context of this information, the modernization movements in art that emerged at the end of the 18th century and continued until the first half of the 20th century is discussed. |
