Markets, which are the most important element of today's free market economy, show structural differences in many respects. These structural differences are determined by the number of firms, the existence of barriers to enter the market, the homogeneous / differentiated product and the market power of the firms. Firm behavior and price determination depend on market structure. According to the Structure-Behavior-Performance (SCP) approach, there are causality relationships between the market structure and the behavior and economic performance of the firms in that market.
