# Field Qualifications
1 recognize animal species, animal breeds, basic structural and functional properties (anatomical, histological, physiological, biochemical, etc.) of animals,
2 perform registration, prepare test materials and perform tests under the supervision of responsible physicians,
3 interprets vital signs of animals and perform basic first aid in appropriate cases,
4 remember asepsis and antisepsis techniques, and assist with the care of hospitalized animals in the pre- and post-operative period,
5 recognize parasitic infections and assist the veterinarian in further procedures (vaccination, hygiene measures, medication etc.) for the control of diseases and models of infectious disease transmission,
6 recognize clinical examination and imaging devices and surgical instruments and provide support to the veterinarian for the safe use of these devices,
7 write official letters and medical reports,
8 prepare and use institutionally determined dietary protocols,
9 provide pre- and post-operative care to hospitalized animals,
10 provide assistance to a veterinarian during clinical examination, application of imaging methods, surgical applications (management and administration of animals, monitoring of patiens under anesthesia etc.),
11 assist a physician in procedures (non-invasive drug and vaccine applications) about prevention, control and treatment of diseases,
12 register, prepare test materials and perform tests under the supervision of a responsible physician,
13 carry out all kinds of procedures planned by a veterinarian,
14 recognize and use methods of scientific knowledge,
15 make a critical evaluation of knowledge and skills acquired, keep up with recent developments in order to acquire new knowledge and skills, identify accurate information sources and has the competence to access information,
16 contribute to social projects where the aim is to develop social awareness, using their professional skills and authorities (takes part in informative meetings for farmers, theoretical and practical work etc.)
17 keep up with technological innovations about devices that they use in professonal settings, and take part in events related to the use of these devices,
18 communicate in a foreign language at minimum A2 level, as defined by the European Language Portfolio,
19 use computer software and communication and information technologies required in the field at the basic level, as defined by the European Computer Driving Licence,
20 remember human, animal and pet owners\' rights, protect animal welfare and ethical principles in all applications,
21 have mastery of the concepts related to occupational safety, and take responsibility in situations that threaten occupational safety,
22 define the legislation about the field and keep up with the revisions on legislation.
