| Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

For the evaluation of exams BDS is used. The criteria for BDS is assigned by the university senate. The final grade is calculated with the contributions of the semester grade (all the marks taken during the semester) and from the final exam. The semester grade consists of the grades taken from midterm, quizzes, oral exam, assignments and workshops.The semester grade’s contribution to the final grade cannot be less than 30% and more than 50%. The final grade consists of the midterm grade, the grade taken from the final exam, and if there have been any other activities done during the semester, the grades the student has taken from them. The semester grade is calculated by taking the percentages of the abovementioned evaluation tools.The final grade is converted to letter grade by taking the criteria the senate assigned. The letter grades and their number of floors are given below.
