Students will be able to identify the basic concepts and history of contemporary world literature.
Students will be able to analyze significant literary movements such as modernism and postmodernism and their effects on literary works.
Students will be able to comparatively examine important authors and works from Latin American, African, Asian, European, and American literature.
Students will develop the ability to critically think about and discuss current literary topics and themes such as globalization, multiculturalism, migration, and identity.
