The objective of this course is to reinforce the student's understanding of the structure and functioning of the nervous system, music, speech, language and basic cognitions. At the end of this course, the student; recognizes and defines the basic terminology of cognitive neuroscience and neuromusicology (in Turkish and, if necessary, in English).
Recognize imaging and research methods used in cognitive neuroscience and develop a scientific perspective on the strengths and weaknesses of these methods.
Identify the importance of evidence based and critical thinking in the field of cognitive neuroscience and music therapy.
Develops skills and habits to follow research and relevant current literature in the field of neuromusicology/cognitive neuroscience of music.
Suggests new music, brain, music therapy research ideas from a cognitive neuroscience perspective.
