The goal of this course is to help people develop policies and systems of various recordkeeping in electronic environments in health institutions and emphasize the health information systems in terms of health management.
1. Explain the evolution and characteristics of health information systems,
2. Examine the content and structures of health records, and to apply data collection rules,
3. List the classification and coding systems of diseases,
4. List the steps in coding and the factors affecting coding quality,
5. Define basic database concepts, the benefits of database management systems, database design, and types of data,
6. Explain the departments of hospital management systems,
7. Explain the steps in hospital information systems,
8. Discuss e-health applications, areas of application, e-health practices in both Turkey and EU countries,
