This course aims to develop pre-service teachers' competencies in the approaches, methods, techniques, and practices used in foreign language teaching (especially English) at the primary school level. In addition, in this course, by examining the learning theories that explain the general development processes of children, by searching for ways to use this knowledge in foreign language teaching and in the classroom environment; by examining general methods and techniques that can be applied to children; by identifying learning differences between children and adults; by learning different types of activities and materials that can be used for children and use them appropriately, it is expected that teacher candidates will be informed and trained on subjects such as preparing lesson plans and preparing appropriate assessment materials for children. |
