Visual communication, features, history, usage and function of visual communication. The place, importance and differences of symbols and signs in graphic design. Colors and their symbolic meanings, the use of color as a symbolic element in graphic design. Numbers as symbols and their history. Type and graphic design relationship. Basic rules, typographical mistakes and typing rules in graphic design. Anatomy and classification of type. Visual features of typefaces, its associations and hearing the type.
