Catalog Content The purpose of this course is to develop an understanding of information related toconcepts, strategies, techniques and issues that are unique to the field of augmentativeand alternative communication (AAC). Focus will include an in-depth review of theassessment process, as well as the AAC needs of individuals with developmental andacquired disabilities across the age continuum. Hands-on experience with variousmethods of AAC strategies and devices will provide a clearer understanding of AACintervention.
