This course covers the introduction to late adulthood, the life-span development perspective, and the conceptual foundations of successful aging. Throughout the course, it is aimed for students to comprehend the roles of nutrition, physical activity, technology use (gerotechnology), and lifelong education in the successful aging process. Additionally, by examining the cognitive, personality, and socioemotional development processes in old age, the course aims to provide students with a professional vision regarding contemporary supportive interventions and practices that enable elderly individuals to maintain an active, independent, and high-quality life. |
