  • Profile of the Programme

The aim of the Elderly Care Associate Degree Programme is to train professionals who can provide qualified and professional care services to the elderly population, which is increasing day by day in our country. In the programme, it is aimed to train human resources who are familiar with the basic principles, processes and management of institutions serving in the field of elderly care, who communicate effectively and efficiently with the elderly, who can improve the quality of life of the elderly, and who have assimilated the necessary knowledge, skills and values in the care of the elderly. At the same time, in our country, as in the whole world, the elderly prefer to continue their lives in their own homes, but they have difficulty in finding employees who will provide home care services and at the same time they can trust. In this context, it is aimed to train highly aware personnel who can provide qualified and professional care services. The aim of this programme is to offer distance learning opportunities to those who are currently working in the field of elderly care but have not undergone any training process in this field. Graduates of the Elderly Care Programme can work under the supervision of experts in the relevant institutions, municipalities, hospitals, non-governmental organisations, nursing homes, nursing homes for the elderly, day centres for the elderly, applications for the elderly in health units, home care services, etc. under the Ministry of Family and Social Policies where elderly care services are carried out.
