The educational philosophy behind the department is to educate our students as highly qualified professionals in a global knowledge society. In accordance with this philosophy, students are provided both theoretical and practical education. Instructors serve as learning facilitators, while students are primarily responsible for their learning. The professional guidance provided by the staff and the active participation of the students are the two fundamental elements of the education provided within the department. In achieving the educational goals of the department, a combination of learner-centered education and instructor guidance is utilized. The learning experiences of students are supported with the latest technology available. The department remains in close relations with businesses and reflects this collaboration in the education it provides.

The Department of Communication Design and Management is located at the Anadolu University Yunus Emre campus. The department employs 6 professors, 7 associate professors, 8 assistant professors, 1 instructor and 2 research assistants. Additionally, academics from other schools and departments, and industry professionals as guest lecturers provide instruction to the students of the department. The departmental decision making process is overseen by the administrative board of the department. The department is primarily run by the department chair and their vice. Various staff members also serve as coordinators for a variety of programs and activities conducted by the department.
