The Wind and Percussion Department provides education under the Music Department as branches of art (Flute-Oboe-Clarinet-Bassoon-Horn-Trumpet-Trombone-Tuba-Percussion.) The formation, which started its basic education as Music and Ballet Primary School in 1989, has been structured as Music and Ballet Secondary School and Music and Performing Arts High School to provide pre-bachelor music education for eight years. After a four-year undergraduate education, the wind and percussion instruments department, which is a department that provides graduate and artistic proficiency trainings, carried out together with the Fine Arts Institute of our university, aims to educate students who are sensitive, experienced and equipped with scientific knowledge in the field of polyphonic music, who can take part in the international art arena. . Instrument education starting from the fifth grade of secondary education; In addition to the instrument lessons created with the 'master-apprentice method', various vocational courses in the fields of correpetition, chamber music and orchestra are carried out within the framework of a program. Since stage performance is the main element of education, concerts and recitals are organized, and various events are organized by inviting expert trainers/artists from home and abroad. The wind and percussion instruments department, which adopts the principle of raising artists and educators for national and international orchestras and educational institutions by increasing the quality of education with artistic and cultural studies, aims to raise artists who catch the universal line and aim to raise social appreciation with this movement.
