The aim of the department is to train academicians in the field ofteaching German as a foreign or second language as well as training activeGerman language teachers in research and problem solving skills, and increaes their knowhow. This programme intends to include all kinds of practical and theoretical aspects of the field of study and it aims to furnish well qualified and innovative individuals with the theoretical and research methodology background in the field and enable them to produce research with respect to scientific integrity to help students gain national and international recognition with the studies conducted in the field of language teaching.
