Students understand the concept of childhood, traditional and modern perspectives on childhood, children's needs and problems. They develop a national and international perspective on these issues.
They learn about the child protection system, juvenile justice system, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Child Protection Law and children's legislation.
They analyze childhood problems and risk factors in a holistic manner, and acquire knowledge and skills for the protection of children.
They learn to intervene in children's needs and various problems.
They gain knowledge and skills for social work practices with children and the principles of working with children.
