  • With the information given in this course, the student is required to gain descriptive and conceptual knowledge about developing countries, to have a good grasp of the relevant terminological knowledge in areas such as development/growth/development, to learn modernization theories, and to acquire the skills to learn international initiatives related to underdeveloped/developing countries.
  • This course aims to provide information about the roles of developing countries in the international system after decolonization, differences between developing countries, the effects of globalization and regional/global cooperation.
  • With this course, it is dec to provide the student with information about the characteristics of developing countries, to distinguish the difference between development and growth phenomena and to analyze how countries can be classified according to economic criteria, to provide information about development theories.
  • By explaining the characteristics of developing countries through sample countries, it is aimed to provide the student with the ability to analyze and evaluate macroeconomic data and the place of developing countries in the international system.
  • It is aimed to provide the student with information about the general characteristics of African politics, its historical dynamics and the institutional structure of the political system, to have knowledge of South Africa's place in the international system through macroeconomic data, and to gain the ability to analyze South Africa's history.
  • It is required to gain conceptual knowledge about the general characteristics of Far East Asian politics, the ability to interpret the historical dynamics of the region with the knowledge gained in the course, the conceptual knowledge that can explain the institutional structure of China's political system, and the ability to analyze China's place in the international political system.
  • It is aimed to gain conceptual knowledge that will allow us to evaluate the economic structure of Latin America through the example of Brazil, to know the impact of the colonial period on the political history of Latin America.
  • It is aimed to have the knowledge and skills to explain the historical dynamics of the political system in India and to analyze the institutional structure of the political system and to gain the ability to analyze the place of India in international politics.
