Week - 2 What is web publishing ?: The concept of publishing, development of the internet, features of the internet, Web 2.0.
Week - 3 Classification of web, structural features of websites, news sites, personal sites and general features of social media
Week - 4 What is the new media? What are the publishing and reporting practices in the new media?
Week - 5 The phenomenon of social media, basic features of social media, social media applications, social networks.
Week - 6 Digital content production in new media applications: Youtube, blog, Twitter and microblogging, Wiki's, podcast etc.
Week - 7 New techniques in content production in new media and social networks: Digital Storytelling
Week - 8 Things to consider when presenting content in new media and social networks: Basic principles of content design, page design, text and typography, image usage, multimedia usage, sharing rules.
