A variety of assessment methods such as mid-term(s), assignment(s), exercise(s), project(s), practice(s), and a final exam are implemented in the programme. Assessment methods may include classical test(s), multiple-choice test(s), homework(s), performance evaluation(s), and product evaluation(s). In order to graduate from the programme, cumulative GPA must be minimum 2.00. A course grade is constituted by evaluating the above stated elements and given by using letters. Letter grades and their associated coefficients are as follows;

Grade Point Avarage ve EvaluationEach course in the program utilizes one mid-term and one final examination for evaluation purposes. Examination dates are announced two weeks prior to the examinations. Make-up examinations are conducted at least 10 days after final examinations.Students must have a sufficient attendance record to participate in examinations.Student assessment is conducted using an evaluation of all the examinations along with assignments and projects conducted within the course.Students providing valid justification for missing mid-term or final examinations may participate in make-up exams if seen fit by review of the Board of Trustees in the department. Justification along with a written request must be submitted at least 5 days before the announced make-up examination dates.The weighting of grading elements such as examinations, projects, assignments etc. are determined by the course instructor and submitted to the department and announced to the participants during the first two weeks of classes. The following grading system is utilized for final grades:Grade Grade PointAA 4.0AB 3.7BA 3.3BB 3.0BC 2.7CB 2.3CC 2.0CD 1.7DC 1.3DD 1.0FF 0.0Due to the nature of various courses, certain courses may place greater emphasis on projects and applied studies which conform with the learning outcomes of the program. Such examples are determined by the course requirements established by the instructor and are evaluated and approved by the Department Chair and Faculty Board. Despite different weighting, these courses are still subject to the aforementioned grading standards.
