The tourism sector, which has an important place in the service sector, is growing day by day in our country and the importance for our country's economy is increasing even more. There is a steady increase in the number of people participating in tourism activities in our country and the number of enterprises operating in the field of tourism. Due to this increase, the demand for qualified labor force is further increased by the tourism sector, which is already a large sector based on human power. The general aim of the Tourism and Hotel Management Program is to meet the employement requirements in the tourism sector. So that the program aims to provide students the knowledge, skills and experience necessary for employment in tourism, hotel and travel, as well as human relations, current business skills and practical competencies. Students graduated from the Tourism and Hotel Management Program; hospitality operators, travel agencies, food and beverage enterprises and hospitality establishments.

 

Tourism and Hotel Management Program Teaching Objectives

1. To train vocational staff with up-to-date professional qualifications for the tourism sector 
2. To gain the ability to make individual career plans as entrepreneurs or qualified employees in different fields of tourism. 
3. To educate individuals who are knowledgeable about sustainability, universal and cultural values, innovative and open to continuous learning.
4. To acquire at least one foreign language skills (at the European Language Portfolio A2 General Level) to follow the developments in the field and communicate at a basic level. 
5. To gain the necessary knowledge and skills for the use of current information and communication technologies.
